Early Voting in New York is Here!


When can I vote early?

The 2020 General Election Early Voting period is October 24 – November 1, but specific days, times, and locations will vary by county.

What is Early Voting?

Registered voters in New York can now vote in-person before Election Day! Voters will be able to vote at any early voting site in the county they are registered to vote in. If you vote during the early voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Election Day.

Who can vote early?

All registered voters can choose to vote early in-person.

How will I vote during early voting?

Voting early will be the same as voting on Election Day. When you get to your early voting location you will check in to vote, receive your ballot and cast your completed ballot in the voting machine.

There will be instructions available at each early voting location, and if you need assistance you may ask an election inspector to answer any questions.

When will early voting results be posted?

Early voting results will be reported after 9pm on Election Day
