Stop Sub-contracting Now!

On Thursday, September 4, Local 200United activists at the Johnson Controls/IBM Fishkill plant conducted an informational picket to protest the sub-contracting of union work to a non-union operator.  Six jobs were lost to a contractor that pays substandard wages and benefits.

The rally was led by Vice President Mike Lonigro, Union Representative Mark Teig, and the rank & file members from the Fishkill plant.  Gerard Lyons, Unit Chairman from Marist College coordinated mobilization for members joining the picket from other Local 200United locations.

A second show of strength was held on Thursday, October 2.  Read the article from the October 3, 2003 Times Herald-Record.
