Things directly related to administering union contracts and helping workers in our industries join our union. Most goes to staff salaries and benefits, over a quarter million is spent on legal support and arbitrating member grievances, some is remitted to members for lost-time (where we have not yet won union time in the contract).
Political Activities: $163,211 (3% post per-cap)
Addressing industry-wide problems and engaging elected leaders on issues that matter to working families.
Overhead: $591,543 (11% post per-cap)
For things like rent on offices, phones, computers, executive board expenses, and staff salaries for bookkeeping and administrative work.
Per-capita Tax to SEIU: $1,466,064
Dues to SEIU (our international union) for national big-picture work and help with organizational development.
